by Hiroshige, from his

by Hiroshige, from his “36 views of Fuji” series of prints

I saw this book at the book store, I love everything about it, even the way the book is closed, the little thing that I don’t know the name and I am not going to try to explain it because you really have to see it. In Taschen site it is availabe a look through the leafs, just a wee taste!

The first time that I saw Japanese woodblock print it was when I was studying about the Impressionists… Today I learnt their name: Ukiyo-e.

Links to explore and admire this beautiful art, although is not the same as having the book and being able to look at every detail…
